In August 2011, after finishing ‘The Happiness project’ by Gretchen Rubin and ‘a book a day’ by Nina Sankovitch, I decided I wanted to dedicate a year of my life to something. Chasing dreams and Apples existed as a blog already, so I took it from there. To get my mind of my biggest dream, I decided to break it down and try to enjoy my everyday life. I would eat an apple a day, while having that apple symbolize the goal to one day move to New York. The mother ship, so to say.
My dream found its realization midst that very year.
I succeeded writing for a whole year straight, a couple of months later. After which I didn’t write a single word for almost a month… and then I started missing it, and I went for a second round.
This basically has become some sort of diary, and my life is probably as plain as yours. Don’t shoot me if I bore you with my adventures. But please, come back to check on me every now and then instead. Just to make sure I’m still alive. Because if you don’t kill me, a tiny dog, broken heel or swinging umbrella just might do the trick.
